If a participant does not complete the MERIT program, there is no punitive action from the court. However, if you complete this program and receive a good treatment plan and report. The court will consider this completion, positively in your favour in sentencing you.
Accordingly, it is highly recommended, you successfully complete this program if you are eligible to do so.
